Avis strengthens customer relations with Open Source

Avis has chosen to implement the Open Source system, SugarCRM, in order to strengthen the contact with customers and business partners in the Nordic region.

This will take place in partnership with Redpill Linpro, which was able to offer Avis a less expensive CRM tool with the same breadth and quality as the proprietary solutions on the market.

Come spring, Avis in Denmark, Sweden and Norway will be ready with a new integrated CRM system, which professionalizes and streamlines the work with sales and marketing and strengthens the contact to the company’s customers in the three Nordic countries.

“Avis needs a new and improved CRM system so we can increase the effect of our Nordic sales and marketing campaigns. It is crucial to our competitiveness that we can tailor the contact to customers in the sales channel and strengthen the communication to our many business partners throughout the Nordic region. At the same time, we want a high level of knowledge sharing in the Nordic region so we can benefit from the experiences of each individual country. We were impressed with the Open Source System, SugarCRM, which among other things has a very strong campaign module and the possibility for optional choices of special modules, for example the Avis card module and SMS module,” says CRM manager, Tom Orvei, of Avis Scandinavia.

Prior to the selection of a new CRM system, Avis conducted comprehensive research work to find out which IT system best suited the company’s needs.

Today, SugarCRM is the most used Open Source CRM product on the market. With specific tools, the system improves the users’ communication to customers and cooperation partners, increases control of the sales cycle and contributes to creating closer relations to the company’s various target groups.

Avis and Redpill Linpro expect to conclude a successful implementation of the new CRM system in the spring. This means that the extensive new system has been implemented in the corporation’s three Nordic companies in just five months.
