Development services
Social network services were popularly called web 2.0. Web 2.0 is a concept that was invented to designate the new generation of social Internet sites that depend on active participation from users in order to be able to expand. It includes everything from bloggers to wikis and social networking services. The basic concept is to build an Internet community for the users of an internet site to which the users will constantly return due to a feeling of belonging.
Bloggers, with the potential for feedback and related discussions, or services’ profile pages, have taken over much of the market for the personal web sites, which had their days of glory at the turn of the millennium. This means that it is increasingly important for Internet services to provide this type of services in order to draw in users.
Redpill Linpro has performed much development work within the different social networking services from the very start of the concept. We have great experience that provides the basis for understanding the advantages and disadvantages of the different methods of building up a social networking service, both at a technical and non-technical level. We have experts in the general principles and technologies of social networking services that are independent of underlying language, and thus have the potential to be adapted to an existing architecture and competence in the customer’s potential operational and development environment.
Web applications
Web applications are an overall concept for all applications that run in an Internet browser. At Redpill Linpro we choose to define the concept more strongly by assuming that the standards of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) must be followed in order that the applications can be used on all the standard web browsers.
Much of the popularity of Linux has arisen due to what are known of LAMP applications, consisting of Linux as the operating system core, Apache as the web server, MySQL as database and Perl, PHP or Python as the programming language. Components of Open Source software from the top to the bottom of the stack give greater potential for financial savings by our customers.
Redpill Linpro has broad and long experience in developing web applications, and all our developers have participated in this field to a greater or lesser degree. This includes everything from simple CGI script to complicated Internet journals and community solutions. We have also demonstrated that we are particularly good at following standards and therefore can get HTML, CSS and Java script to work on all Internet browsers. Our employees also include designers and experts in user interfaces, which means that we can provide a total package for the best possible web solution.
