Evaluation matrix for free software
An increasing number of companies are saving money and enjoying the flexibility of using free software. For companies searching for reliable open source software components, Redpill Linpro has developed an evaluation matrix to help make a systematic, reliable and documented evaluation.
Based on our ample experience and on our participation in the EU-sponsored COSI project, we have created a framework for evaluating open source components.
The framework consists of an evaluation matrix, a set of guidelines, some basic information and links to tools one could use during an evaluation.
