Security in and around data solutions is vital in order that a business may meet its own and external data requirements. At the same time, investigations show that not many choose to expend enough upon security. Redpill Linpro believes that this is traditionally due to the high price level and too much supplier and product locking.
Linux is currently recognized as the most secure platform. For many people it is a paradox that Linux has Open Source code but in practice this proves to provide better security.
This is also seen in the fact that there are more and more new products based on Open Source software within the area of security. We have therefore increased our efforts in the area and in autumn 2008 entered agreements with suppliers in several areas, including Sourcefire and Astaro.
