The Open Source specialist and digital societies builder Redpill Linpro contributes to the sustainable development of societies by helping companies increase their competitiveness and making digital services even better for more people. With open source, its deep technical knowledge and extensive experience across the private and public sectors, Redpill Linpro helps its customers digitalise and make the most out of their data.

The company delivers all aspects of digital innovation, from analysis, design, security and development to integration, user experience and operation. With more than 300 employees the company has offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Karlstad, Linköping, as well as in Copenhagen, Aarhus and Oslo.

Long-term sustainability focus

The Redpill Linpro management team is dedicated to achieving the financial goals of the company and ensuring the best interests of our owners through sustainable, long-term growth and dividends. We prioritize managing our financial resources in a way that secures the company's long-term survival.

At Redpill Linpro, we recognize that our employees and their knowledge and commitment are our most valuable assets. They form the foundation of our ability to deliver strong and impactful results and provide value to our customers.

Materiality analysis

Our materiality analysis is based on customer and employee surveys, risk analysis, interviews, and thorough analyses conducted in relation to our Management System work, which is supported by our ISO 9001, 14001, and 27001 certificates. These analyses are reviewed annually and stored in our Management System. Redpill Linpro's commitment to sustainability encompasses three key areas:

  • Environment: Transportation, energy consumption and recycling are a priority
  • Social: Our employees, customers, partners and owners are a priority
  • Governance: Adhering to robust governance principles and well integrated policies, processes and guidelines are our priority

We have chosen to further develop and elaborate on above areas.

As the majority of our operations are conducted in Sweden, Norway, and Denmark, with customers from each country, and a significant portion of our revenue comes from the public sector, which is regulated by strict laws, the risk of corruption and human rights violations is deemed to be low.

Our business model and particularly with our focus on open source, have a positive impact on the environment through increased digitization, reduced travel, optimized resource utilization, and economically sustainable solutions with clear societal benefits.

The success of Redpill Linpro heavily relies on the collective and individual expertise and efforts of our employees. They create daily value for our customers, which forms the foundation of our business. It is of utmost importance that our employees are satisfied, experience personal and professional development, and thrive in a culture of equality, inclusion, and diversity.

Our employees also shape our customers' perception of our company, and with satisfied employees, we have satisfied customers. Effective communication, adherence to laws, regulations, and policies by Redpill Linpro also influence our customers' experience and are essential factors in our sustainability efforts.

1. Environment – the Planet

Redpill Linpro holds an ISO 14001 certification and a Norwegian Miljøfyrtårn certificate. The certifications includes procedures and processes related to the environment. For Redpill Linpro, the certifications are important tools for promoting a sustainable society and for a responsible long-term development in business settings.

We operate in Sweden, Norway, and Denmark, serving corresponding Swedish, Norwegian, and Danish clients. This has a positive impact on the sustainability risks we encounter. We heavily rely on local subcontractors and primarily make local purchases. We do not have significant purchases of physical products and have limited resource consumption and environmental impact.


1.1 Sustainability in focus

The company's operations are carefully managed to minimize any negative impact on the planet and its resources over time. This includes constantly striving to reduce electricity consumption and using sustainable energy sources wherever possible, energy usage, and the utilization of other resources, such as paper, office supplies and other.


1.2 Travel and recycling

The company's operations are primarily local, which limits the number of trips required. When traveling for business purposes, we prioritize public transportation and trains. The choice of transportation mode is based on a consideration of costs, environmental impact, time consumption, and safety. We aim to conduct as many meetings as possible through digital channels or phone calls.

Consumable materials are recycled to the highest extent possible. Paper, cardboard, food waste, and electronics are handled according to established procedures. Redpill Linpro adheres to applicable environmental legislation, regulations, and other environmental requirements that affect the company.

2. Social – the People

We are a company that specializes in providing services, and as such, it is crucial for us to understand our customers' challenges and requirements for sustainable solutions. We highly value our employees as they are the ones who solve our customers' challenges and contribute significantly to our business.

We believe that equal treatment, inclusivity, and diversity create a better company, and there is inherent value in fair conditions. We have a zero-tolerance policy towards discrimination and bullying. All employees have access to the company's whistleblower system, in addition to the option to report any violations directly to their immediate manager or the management team. Whistleblower platforms are available to everyone, including external stakeholders, such as customers and subcontractors.

All of above is integrated in our company, in our strategy, processes and is monitored. Our Code of Conduct is a central and highly integrated part in the company – it consists of 6 basic principles:

  • Environment and sustainability
  • Immaterial rights
  • Child labour
  • Bribery and corruption


Every year, we conduct two employee surveys and one customer survey, to monitor trends and take actions if necessary.

2.1 Social – corporate responsibility, anti-corruption and human rights

Redpill Linpro's operations is to be conducted in a manner that exemplifies being a good and responsible corporate citizen. This means that we take into consideration the health and well-being of individuals, whether they are employees, subcontractors, business partners, owners, or any other stakeholder affected by the company.

We are committed to ethically and socially responsible development of our services and solutions, ensuring that our purchases do not support companies or countries that violate human rights.

Every year, we donate money and get involved in various charitable causes/projects, allowing both the parent and subsidiary companies to choose what to support.

Redpill Linpro has a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption, and our employees are well aware of the boundaries for bribery. Our employees are reminded annually of the ethical and moral guidelines through our training program.

2.2 An equal and inclusive workplace

Our social responsibility includes equal treatment, and we strive for our workforce to reflect the society around us as much as possible. An example of this is our DevOps Academy, which is an initiative where we aim to encourage more women to explore a career in DevOps, a traditionally male-dominated profession.

3. Governance – the Profit

Redpill Linpro is certified according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 27001, and continuously monitors the entire management system.

In the Redpill Linpro management system, we have various governing documents, including but not limited to:

  • Environmental Policy – The policy is a part of our ISO 14001 certificate and governs the overall environmental work and processes that we comply by. It is tightly tied to 1. Environment. The policy is revised yearly and is subject to to our incident and deviation process.
  • Procurement Policy – The policy is a part of our ISO 9001 certificate that governs the procurement process with a special focus on sustainable purchases. It is tightly tied to 1. Environment. The policy is revised yearly and is subject to to our incident and deviation process.
  • Quality Policy – The policy is a part of our ISO 9001 certificate that governs the processes that form the basis for sustainable deliveries. It is tightly tied to 1. Environment, 2. Social, and 3. Governance. The policy is revised yearly and is subject to to our incident and deviation process.
  • Work Environment Policy – governs the processes for a sustainable work life balance and employee journey at Redpill Linpro. It is tightly tied to 2. Social. The policy is revised yearly and is subject to to our incident and deviation process.
  • Information Security Policy – The policy is a part of our ISO 27001 certificate that governs, among other, the processes for data protection and business continuity. It is tightly tied to 2. Social, and 3. Governance. The policy is revised yearly and is subject to to our incident and deviation process.
  • Code of Conduct – governs how we treat each other and how we work with human rights. It is tightly tied to 2. Social, and 3. Governance. The code is revised yearly and is subject to to our incident and deviation process.

3.1 Our policies in practice

Through our ISO-framework (IOS 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 27001) all policies are reviewed annually through audits, revisions, and quality assessments. All employees have access to our policies and other information through our intranet. All Redpill Linpro sites are revised. External revision is conducted by an independent party. A solid framework for continuous improvement is in place.

Our Code of Conduct is the cornerstone of our organization, guiding our actions and interactions with each other and the wider community. It establishes a clear set of principles that every employee agrees to upon joining, outlining what is considered acceptable behavior. In the event of a code violation, termination may be necessary. Additionally, Redpill Linpro's Code of Conduct outlines the expected behavior for subcontractors and partners in collaborative efforts.

Our policies set the minimum level that all companies within the group must comply with and meet.

Every year, we hold trainings and we ensure that all new employees are familiarized with our management system as part of their onboarding process.
