Redpill Linpro launches new analytics company in Norway

The venture is supported by the significant demand among customers wanting to enhance their use of advanced analytics tools to obtain data insight. Mia Ryan will head the new Norwegian company.

“Insight and analytics solutions are something that all businesses will need in coming years. This gives us resolute confidence in the new enterprise,” remarks Mia Ryan, head of Redpill Linpro Analytics in Norway.

Redpill Linpro group CEO Henrik Gavelli emphasises that this is a very important venture, and the new analytics company will focus on Norway but support customers throughout the Nordic region.

“Nordic businesses require more advanced tools and solutions for insight and analysis, and we have noted a sharp uptick in the number of projects in which customers want better access to data. This is a segment that will contribute to significant growth in our business, and supports our ambitions to double today’s sales of MNOK 500 over the next few years. The analytics company in Oslo is a key instrument in this strategy,” says Henrik Gavelli, CEO of Redpill Linpro.

There is a great demand for analytic services ,and Redpill Linpro Analytic plans to hire at least 15 persons in the coming year.

“We hope that many skilled data specialists will want to join us,” says Ryan.

Insight for making better choices

The company’s advisors will help customers create competitive advantages by converting data into valuable information. 

“The success of a company in the future will be determined by how it processes data and makes it available across the operations. We will help our customers by providing services and platforms to make them more data-driven, and will do so in the best Redpill Linpro spirit based on open standards,” says Gavelli. 

Ryan refers to a report from MIT Technology Review Insights which found that just 13% of organisations excel at fully delivering on their strategy for better use of data. She believes that this confirms that many companies are still in the starting blocks in terms of using analytics platforms. Ryan highlights Redpill Linpro’s expertise in infrastructure and integration, which provides a particularly sound basis for compiling all data sources and presenting them across the organisation.

“Many organisations need help so that they can start working with analytical solutions at the right end. It is difficult to be successful in analytics or machine learning without high-

quality data. We will help our customers to establish the right solutions so that their experts obtain a sound and coherent view from all data sources,” says Ryan.

Advanced platform for analytics and co-management

A key platform in this venture is Databricks, which earlier this year was installed in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Analytics and Business Intelligence Platforms. 

“The platform offers flexibility and excellent opportunities for co-management across all analytical units and the rest of the company,” says Ryan. 

She says that there is high demand for expertise in Databricks.

“We are one of only a few in the Nordic region with knowledge of the platform. Redpill Linpro’s extensive expertise in the fields of data, machine learning and DevOps is important for helping customer succeed in collating data and integrations and that is why we want to have more highly specialised technical teams that can work closely with the analytical experts of our customers,” says Ryan.
