Open for application: Redpill Linpro trainee program 2017

We will now reiterate the successful running of our trainee program for Open Source tech talent. The Redpill Linpro trainee program is hereby open for applications for Stockholm, Gothenburg, Oslo and Copenhagen.

In 2015, the we launched the first version of the program designed to give skilled and ambitious University graduates an inspiring and flying start to their work careers. Even if the program is labelled as a traditional ”trainee program”, there is very little traditional about it. If you enroll for a position with Redpill Linpro and is accepted in the traineeprogram, you will have to be prepared to invest your time in world leading training and certification programs, engage in real customer projects from day one in a mentor/adept set up and be prepared to really kick start your career.

Competing with knowledge and competence

Working with Open Source means that everything is open and the only true thing to compete with is knowledge and competence. As this is true, it is also true that Open Source software is often characterised as leading edge technology and the right knowledge and experience is not necessarily easy to find anywhere. This is also part of the reason why Redpill Linpro have chosen to invest in running their own traineeprogram to attract young talent with the right level of ambition to train them to eventually become experts and appreciated consultants in their area of interest. This is the second year that Redpill Linpro runs the program. Experience from first year running is that the program have been successful in attracting the right people and been able to include the individuals being part of the program in real life projects quicker than expected. Trainee program participants have thereby actively been invloved in assisting customers with Digital Transformation projects in various areas.

- I have enjoyed my introduction to the worklife challenges through the Redpill Linpro traineeprogram. I have gotten the opportunity to test my skills in various projects and assignments, always with assistance from a mentor or experienced Redpill Linpro consultant ready to answer my questions when required. I feel that the trainee program have really been able to help me exploit my curiosity and ambition for work life, while at the same time taking into account my relative unexperience and putting me in positions where I always felt supported. I would strongly recommend tech students that are about to start their work life careers to take a deeper look at the Redpill Linpro Trainee program, says Michael Bui who joined the trainee program in August 2015.

Talent and ambition often beats experience

- My personal experience is that talent and ambition often beats experience. This is true for some sporing arenas, but it can also be applied to the IT industry. In our business new tools, frameworks, technologies and other phenomena are introduced to the market in a rapid speed. Staying competitive and defending our position as the leading provider of Open Source services and products in the Nordics, means that we have to attract new talent. Through our trainee program we have created a framework for being able to give newly graduated students the kick start they are looking for in the work life careers and at the same time as a company benefit from all the new knowledge, ideas and ambition they bring. I am personally very proud over our trainee program and the performances of the individuals that have been a part of the first version of the program in 2015/2016, says Fredrik Svensson, Business Area Manager Java Solutions, Redpill Linpro.
